Happy Thanksgiving, dear friends! Instead of posting a recipe today (because who really needs another recipe to read on Thanksgiving?), I thought I would take a quick second to tell you all how thankful I am to have you here. Seriously, I adore reading your comments and emails, and having conversations with you on Facebook or Instagram…you bring a smile to my face and joy to my day!

Bonus: Today is also my birthday! So I thought I would also share a picture of me on my 2nd birthday, 23 years ago (do that math…yes, I’m 25 today…). It seemed like a fitting picture. Clearly the obsession with my kitchen started early. Some things never change (my tights bagging around my ankles thanks to my skinny, skinny legs being one of those things).

Have a wonderful day, loves. I’ll see you back here on the 1st for another Friends First post!

  1. Ha ha! One of my favorite pictures. You were calling Grandmommie. We should have suspected something was up, with the amount of time you spent in that kitchen banging pots around and stirring up something to eat. Happy birthday to my best girl. I love you more than you know. xoxo

  2. The quarter life has coooooooome! Happy birthday, my love! I’m so proud of you – you’re a genuine and amazing person and your positivity is absolutely contagious! I love you and hope you have the best birthday celebration ever!

  3. You’re just slightly less than a year older than me 🙂 This makes me happy because I totally thought you were younger! Happy Birthday my dear, I’m thankful for YOU! 😀

  4. Happy Birthday for yesterday beautiful Stephie!! What a gorgeous picture, I love everything about it (I have a similar one of me at that age, almost identical except that I was a little wispy haired brunette!). Hope that you had a wonderful combined Birthday and Thanksgiving celebration yesterday. You’re beautiful inside and out and it’s a privilege to be traveling through this next year with you (albeit through words and recipes, in different countries, but hey. The world is much smaller these days!) xx

    1. Thank you so much, Laura! You are such a darling. Maybe someday we will be lucky enough to meet in person. Until then, I’m so glad for the internet!
